CARACAS Authentic Drew Stafford Jersey , Oct. 15 (Xinhua) -- Venezuela's regional vote on Sunday to elect state governors and legislators would "consolidate the environment of peace," said a leader of the ruling United Socialist Party of Venezuela.

At a press conference on Sunday, Jorge Rodriguez Authentic Adam Henrique Jersey , mayor of the capital city Caracas, called the elections an "expression of sovereignty" by the voters.

"The peace which the National Constituent Assembly (ANC) has brought is being consolidated today," he said Authentic John Moore Jersey , after offering an evaluation of the day's elections alongside ANC president Delcy Rodriguez.

On Sunday, over 18 million Venezuelans were called upon to vote for 197 candidates running for the country's 23 governorships.

The regional elections were first postponed due to the country's economic crisis and political conflicts, then scheduled for Dec. 10 Marcus Johansson Jersey , until the newly-elected ANC tasked to rewrite the constitution agreed to move up the vote to Oct. 15.

As the former head of Venezuela's electoral body, the National Electoral Council, Jorge Rodriguez said Venezuela "is one of the few countries in the world to give results in real time."

With regard to a high expected turnout Jesper Bratt Jersey , he said the vote was going well "with the best electoral power in the whole world."

Julio Borges, the president of the National Assembly controlled by the opposition party, also commented that the electoral process "has been going well ... with a good turnout."

As a legislator for the opposition Democratic Unity Roundtable (MUD) Miles Wood Jersey , Borges encouraged everyone to vote, saying that "we are not only voting for governors" but for "democracy in Venezuela."

"Our call is to vote with absolute freedom and conscience for whoever you like," he said at the conference.

MADRID, April 24 (Xinhua) -- Luis Suarez wrote the headlines in a controversial matchday 35 in the Spanish BBVA Primera Liga in which there was plenty of controversy, but where the top of the BBVA Primera Liga ultimately remained unaltered.

Suarez scored four goals, two of them from the penalty spot as Barca won 6-0 at home to Sporting Gijon in a game where referee Clos Gomez was the other headline maker.

On a night littered with errors, Gomez allowed Leo Messi to open the score after a Suarez foul on Sporting keeper, Pichu Cuellar.

Barca were well below their best until Suarez doubled their lead after 52 minutes, although TV replays showed he was marginally offside when receiving a pass from Andres Iniesta.

Gomez then gave Barca an incredible three consecutive penalties, two of which were highly debatable, although the first, which Suarez dispatched with ease, was for a clear handball.

He scored a second penalty when Neymar hit the floor after colliding with a defender, and Neymar made it 5-0 after Gomez gave Barca their third penalty of the game.

Finally Suarez netted his eighth goal of the week in the dying minutes to give the final score a sheen which flattered Barca, although they will be Champions if they win their remaining games.

There was further controversy in Atletico Madrid' s 1-0 win at home to Malaga as Atletico coach Diego Simeone was sent off after a ball was rolled onto the pitch from the Atletico dugout to stop a Malaga counter-attack.

TV replays show Simeone appeared to have instructed a ball boy to roll the ball on and he will probably receive a 3-game ban, but the Atletico coach will have been relieved when Angel Correa' s deflected shot gave his side a narrow victory.

Meanwhile Real Madrid opened the weekend with a narrow 3-2 win away to Rayo Vallecano in a game where they went 2-0 down after just 14 minutes, but fought back to take the 3 points thanks to two goals from Gareth Bale and a header from Lucas Vazquez in the first game this season without Cristiano Ronaldo in the side.

Second half goals from Kevin Gameiro and Coke gave Sevilla local bragging rights over Betis in the Seville derby, while keeping them on track for a return to Europe next season.

Levante look to be virtually doomed to relegation after seeing a 2-0 lead at home to Athletic Club Bilbao evaporate in the last three minutes of their game.

A win for Villarreal would have all but have secured them fourth place but ahead of their Europa League clash against Liverpool next week they were held 0-0 at home to Real Sociedad.

Victor Casadesus' and a Xabi Etxeita's own goal looked to have given Levante 3 vital points only for Markel Susaeta and Mikel San Jose to score in the 88th and 91st minutes.

Getafe surrendered a 2-1 lead six minutes from time to remain in trouble following a 2-2 draw at home to Valencia with all the goals coming after the break.

A Dani Parejo free kick put Valencia ahead, but Getafe turned the game around with goals from Medran and Stefan Scepovic only for Paco Alcacer, who once spent a loan spell with Getafe to assure the points were shared with his late goal.

Eibar and Deportivo la Coruna can forget relegation worries after a 1-1 draw which probably suits both sides after goals from Adrian Gonzalez and Fede Cartabria saw a share of the points.

CANBERRA Brian Gibbons Jersey , Sept. 2 (Xinhua) -- Australia's opposition leader is under increasing pressure to support Australia's landmark free trade agreement (FTA) with China.

Bill Shorten faces new pressure to sign off on the deal now that state Labor leaders have said the agreement was "good news" for Australia.

Federal Labor has been hesitant to throw support behind the deal out of fear that it puts Australian jobs at risk, but state Labor leaders such as Victoria's Daniel Andrews and South Australia's Jay Weatherill have already given it the thumbs up.

Adding to the pressure, National Farmer's Federation chief executive Simon Talbot told News Corp that if Australia - or the Labor Party - asked for amendments to the FTA Pavel Zacha Jersey , which is.
